The report on the first DFP TALK

We held DFP’s first study session, “Connect to the world! DFP TALK” in Tokyo on 29th July 2015.

Five participants took part in the session. It was conducted in relaxed atmosphere.

The speaker, Ms. Chie Murakami, Director General of DFP, explained the issues around diamonds. She also talked about the petition campaign addressed to Angolan president to cancel the verdict against Rafael Marques de Morais, Angolan journalist, who was sentenced after publishing the book “Blood Diamonds –Corruption and Torture in Angola.”

Participants said, “I could get to know the issues about diamonds in African countries in this session that I didn’t have chance to hear about.” “Through the case of Rafael, I was able to understand the problems surrounding the diamonds.”

DFP will hold regular study sessions, inviting speakers making differences in various fields. Join us!!
